I’m from Florida and I’d rather listen to Plies than Jay. But I know objectively, Hov has a bigger impact and greater legacy than Plies.

Yeah I’m not from there but I know plies really resonates over there in Florida and his music has inspired the wave of current Florida artists now so that impact alone can’t be denied but you know east coast bias forum here can’t fathom that someone likes an artist they deem trash and prefers them over an artist that can’t do no wrong in their eyes. Hov is one of my favorite artist but I understand why some don’t like his music it’s rather soulless and doesn’t have that emotion like others convey. I don’t listen to plies and I’m not going to but hearing from his fan base he has a way of getting his point across in a compelling way that’s not seen usually or used at that angle

To a point. Preferring Cam to Nas is a defensible position. Saying Plies is a better rapper than Jay-Z is not. Saying Russ is a better rapper than Kendrick is not defensible ever.
