I've been playing Third:fire: alot lately, too, and I forgot how cinematically grimey this comeback sounded:ohhh::banderas:

It can't be understated just how immaculately produced that record is. Its disgusting honestly. the drums on Silence is just :wow:

deep water into Machine Gun :damn:

shyt is easily one of the coldest albums ever created.

Anti social villain music :wow:

Hauntingly beautiful piece. Even though there’s nothing concrete that says it was, I’ll always believe this track was inspired by the 1984 film of the same name. :banderas:

You could play it through damn near each scene and see how natural it fits with the themes and horrors of a world that has undergone nuclear destruction.

Man shouts out to you bruhs for getting me to really check these nikkas out in earnest…I remember some blog chatter about Third when it came out and I never really full engaged although I did think “Machine Gun” was interesting..I just didn’t get the acclaim ….after going thru this thread and seeing the way dudes talked about the music ..I gave the discography a full spin …my ears lit up when I heard “cowboys” and realized that SBQ had sampled that for “Raymond 1969” I thought the producer was on some avant-garde shyt but it was literally just a PH song that I had no clue about :snoop:

Anyways …I banged the whole discography this week …slapped that shyt in different settings ..while walking ..in the house while it was raining …on a long drive ..and I gotta say ..I feel like an idiot for not praising these electro goats sooner :blessed:when that second album comes on and the first thing you hear is a cross of synths that sound like a blend between the stings on a mid 80s Jason Vorhees kill scene and UFO beam from Planet X ..I knew I was at home:wow:

Incredible ravaged production throughout… matched with the melancholy vocals from their CaCstress songbird make a beautifully arid rigid funk …I love this shyt ..still trying to digest the lyrics but got damn what a dope ensemble… the second album ranks above the first to me personally but I have both over the 3rd ..still need to listen to the live recording and watch so,e old YouTube clips of their performances to get the whole vibe ..but like I said ..s/o to this thread for putting me on

I'm sure they've been sampled countless times, especially by the new 90s obsessed generation, but these 2 joints had me :gladbron: when they dropped

Also, Massive Attack is GOAT tier- Blue Lines, Protection, Mezzanine: ALL TIME MT. RUSHMORE CLASSICS
Spark one up while listening to this!

And to think, plenty of folks never had their ears blessed with these good tunes. They'on even make music like this nowadays. I'ont even think there's any similar groups of recent times.
Trip hop is def one of my favorite genres but you're right, you don't hear it much recently. I'd imagine you can find it on Bandcamp or a Spotify playlist, I'll have to check one day. There's so much classic shyt from the 90s and the vibe is amazing.
