Game was highly slept on. I don't know too many xbots that even gave the first one a chance. Low key, blue dragon and Alan Wake are easily good enough to own a 360 for.

The domain name AlanWakeReturns.com was also registered via the same proxy used for other Remedy Entertainment domain names late last year.
Alan Wake is a Remedy Entertainment-owned franchise that first launched on Xbox 360 in 2010, and then on PC in 2012. A downloadable follow-up, Alan Wake’s American Nightmare, also launched in 2012.
The Xbox One version of Remedy Entertainment’s next game, Quantum Break, will include both Alan Wake games as backwards compatible download titles.

I kinda liked the Stephen King vibe the game had, but the actual gameplay was not great.
I enjoyed it all. I can't wait to play it again once it's ready for XB1 BC.

I'd be ok if they rebuilt the game completely from the ground up. This can't be just a re-skin.
With Quantum Break coming out I would expect this to just be a re-release with both games on one disc or something like that. Nothing major.
i give remedy props for nailing the premise, and accurately making it feel like you were having basically the toughest night of your life

Top 5 is a stretch IMO but it's definitely a very special game. I think most people were turned off by the name, the cover art, and a few pictures they seen online. I know I bought expecting it to be whack. I was completely wrong.
I'm getting Quantum Break off the strength of this game alone.
We can agree to disagree, but for me still has a place on the top five. Remedy or w/e their name is made max Payne and part 2.the story lines for max Payne was the sh!t (not the BS Max Payne 3 made by rock star) and I feel they brought that great story line with them in Alan wake.
I agree on the marketing for the game wasn't aggressive and the cover sucked, but that's why for me it qualifies as a gem, because it's a game that you had to look for instead of it being spoon fed like a COD game or what there're doing now with quantum break advertising heavy .
Max Payne 3 was also great.
