Buss brothers withdraw motion on Lakers meeting to Oust Jeanie Buss.

The older Buss brothers had filed a motion to hold a meeting with the Lakers minority owners on March 7 to elect a new board of directors for the Lakers, and replace Jeanie Buss.
The six Buss children co-own 66 percent of the Lakers in trust. The three trustees are Jeanie, Johnny and Jim Buss, meaning the older brothers thought they had the votes to control the trust's actions.
Lakers promote Magic, will name Pelinka GM
Magic Johnson was named the Lakers' president of basketball operations on Tuesday, and sports agent Rob Pelinka is expected to replace the fired Mitch Kupchak as GM.
Lawyers for Jeanie Buss challenged that motion in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, by filing a temporary restraining order, saying the older brothers actions were continuing to "breach their duties" by challenging her controlling ownership.
Terms of the trust hold that the controlling owner must also be a director of the team. Both Johnny and Jim Buss previously voted to approve Jeanie Buss as the team's controlling owner.
The motion was subsequently withdrawn and the emergency meeting for next week has been cancelled.
Last week, Jeanie Buss replaced her brother Jim as president of the Lakers basketball operations with Magic Johnson.
