Mugabe is a woat leader but military coup don't usually end well. As a Haitian I can attest to this. I just hope if he steps down those cacs he kicked out don't try to come back. Hopefully there isn't no splits in the military. Africa doesn't need more civil wars.

I think the coup is about his wife based on what I've read thus far. Mugabe is trying to make his wife become the next president once he dies. However, it seems the handwriting is on the wall that the man is about to die, hence the military had to step in before she takes over.
