As they made a last-ditch push to retain then free-agent center Al Horford, the Hawks reportedly discussed a Millsap trade with the Denver Nuggets, Phoenix Suns, and Houston Rockets. But it was the Toronto Raptors who came closest to landing him in a deal, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

"They were all set to trade Millsap if Al Horford had re-signed," Windhorst said on Tuesday's TrueHoop Podcast. "They were going to trade him to Toronto. And then that deal fell through when Horford went to Boston."
