UK retailer lists God Of War 4 for December 2015 - could Kratos plug the Uncharted 4 gap?

It's probably nothing. It's almost certainly nothing.
But what if it isn't?
UK retailer SimplyGames have listed God Of War 4 for a December 2015 release, and seem to be accepting pre-orders at the time of writing. Credit goes to HUKD member and profilic deal-finder FantasyDeals for the spot, and for tipping me off.

Normally it's the sort of thing that I'd dismiss out of hand, since we've seen similar listings come to nothing before, but the December 2015 release window is interesting. After all, Sony have just lost one of their big Christmas games following Uncharted 4's delay.
Seeing as Sony Santa Monica are reported to be working on a new God Of War, the timing would seem rather convenient. Either way, we'll find out in due course.

The date is total BS but it could lead to an announcement soon if anything. I had the same reaction when I saw the post but I just put it out there as information to keep an eye on.

even though it would be a nice fill in for the void u4 left, along with SM saying they're working on one (said it at the ps experience panel), and a game like gow doesnt need much time to get people hype for it (an e3 announcement/showing would be enough), i highly doubt the game will drop this year....but you never know....

Can't agree with that. Now if you say ascension is bad then you'd have a point but even it wasn't terrible, just kinda meh. The GOW series is top 5 imo. The 1st 3 were some of the best gaming experiences of all time.
