The boss battles and puzzles in the others were fun, and at least there was dialogue but there were hardly any puzzles in ascension and kratos barely talked.

Leave it to another team to piss on the franchise a little bit. Lol
They did alright. Just alright...
It sort of felt like it should've been made second.

This I agree with this %100 also I gotta admit that this was the best looking game of last gen along with halo 4 and beyond 2 souls and gta v

That opening level was but unfortunately it's all downhill from there. Nothing else in the game comes close to that.

the chronos fight was equally as epic imo

God of War 2 was the better game IMO, but GOW3 was still great and the graphics were phenomenal

Only problem with GOW3 in comparison with 1 & 2 is the traveling between Hades & Olympia. 1 & 2 felt like Kratos went everywhere and anywhere to get his revenge. He had to fight through so much shyt. The sense of scale was off in 3 to me.

Only problem with GOW3 in comparison with 1 & 2 is the traveling between Hades & Olympia. 1 & 2 felt like Kratos went everywhere and anywhere to get his revenge. He had to fight through so much shyt. The sense of scale was off in 3 to me.

in 3 all he did was climb mount Olympus all of the games was leading up to that climb anyways tho.... especially the end of part 2...

outside of the intro fight off the top of my head i remember fighting those two female gods or whatever, which was pretty epic


and the end boss was probably crazier than anything in GOW3



But outside of those 3 instances I don't remember much, GOW3 just had more epic/memorable moments.

I guess there wasnt anything left to do but climb it. I didn't really care for the Pegasus wings sequences or the shortcuts past Hephestus.
