He is called Superman the army chick at the end of the movie says so, I would guess the public will follow suit

Batman would not seek the council of anyone, he should investigate Superman on his own, also while he does not know the identity of each hero, he should be aware of events that suggest that there is an Aqua man and Wonder Woman, etc etc.

Simply saying Batman goes after Superman because he destroyed a city is very weak, especially as he was trying to save it. This is where Lex's manipulation should come in to play. But that is expecting too much from David Goyer.

Ok... So the chick in the end called him Superman... Does it still mean that Batman is supposed to know shyt about him? Or because he knows about other superheroes, that he should still know shyt about Supes?

And Maybe the UN is seeking Batmans council for help keep tabs on all the other heros. Both the UN and Batman would have a common purpose, to keep tabs/eyes on all these extra heroes and find out their weaknesses... who knows

If BvS is to start a year after MOS as they say, I see now plausible explanation why Batman would not have some info on this flying man, he left enough clues for that to happen. I'm not saying that Batman should know everything about Superman (fortress, Kryptonite) but he should have enough.

DC said they aren't going to copy Marvels after credits scene but they want to do something similar. Instead I think they are going to do cliff hangers before the credits. If you have seen the new justice league cartoon they kind of ended it like I think they are going to end this movie
