Yep, no chance the Bernie voters stay home this time. These past damn near three years have been a nightmare for everyone including them every damn day.
And with their proportional division of delegates , unlike winner take all GOP style, the race will be rancorous. It will also have the 2016 vibes too like during primary season with progressive candidates going up against the centristsBeto is gonna fundraise for half a year and let all the early announcing Dem Candidates dry up as they hop in the spotlight.
If he were to state his intentions now it would force him to run on his own merits. Seems like one of those cats that could fundraise well, but still a Jeb type low energy candidate that would only have a shot thru strategy and other candidates mistakes.
Remember how corny the debate stage was with 16 republican zombies going thru rehearsed debate points. Democratic party gonna be a lot more divisive going forward, bernie bros and hilldawgs will be at the newer candidates neck. People are more about the racehorse they picked eventually coming out on top, and not about what candidate will put forth the most positive change.

Remember when Jeb announced and Marco also did with some people claiming that Rubio should have waited. If Tulsi, Bernie, and Warren decide to run and then you have Booker and Harris also in there it will make for interesting debates.

I'm of the opinion that by declaring for the presidential election they are forfeiting any future in Congress. I know this isn't a guarantee, but a failure to win the nomination after campaigning will not help their hopes of Congressional re-election in the yrs following. Who would want to vote for a loser
Wouldn't be surprised to see some of the people you named stay out of the race and stick with the congressional route, for job security if nothing else.

I'm just going by observations, but I think what Sherrod Brown is doing sitting up in the cut in the corner, dipping a toe in the pool first, and then make his announcement later on while everybody gets slaughtered early.
People keep bringing up Biden being "that White Man," but Sherrod Brown IMO is better. He's an older White guy who can go toe to toe with Trump and can appeal to working class Whites.
