Hot nikka is legendary

Debut single from a new artist with a grimey video from a street team that all got indicted like 3 months later. The whole song was about how his crew gets it in and it bangs and as the list stated it was a huge hit.

Classic instrumental
Quotable lines
Real as time showed

Like the 00s had Bombs Over Baghdad, Players Anthem, Ether, Diamonds Are Forever those type of songs. Or even Da Art of Storytellin even though it came out in 99. I don't get those same vibes from this era of music. Don't get me wrong nikkas still putting out songs and albums that are fire and that bump. But I don't get that goosebump feeling like when the prelude music plays for Diamonds Are Forever. Like I remember making a personal note to myself about such and such location being where I heard such and such song. Nowadays I don't even give a fukk where I heard it
none of songs you named get played today.

If it's the latter, then it's quite a fukking few..

From Drake:
  • Hotline Bling
  • One Dance
  • Marvin's Room (trust me on this one.)
  • You can make a case for Jumpman:ld:
  • Crew Love
  • Too much
  • Back2Back (you can make a case for it:ld:
