Rock vs Cripple H ladder match ic title Summerslam 98. Kind of speaks for itself for anyone that watched it. A heel turned face by the crowd, great leg work by Rocky, and the match showed Rock was the better man and it took Chyna to make the difference for the weaker face.

The Last of the Outlaws
Undertaker vs Lesnar No Mercy 2002.

Classic Grizzled vet vs young hungry lion story. Brock used a level of mind games (pushing up on a pregnant Sara, breaking his hand with the fire extinguisher beforehand etc) Taker always had done.

It was like watching Bane defeat Batman that night. Taker threw all he had left at him but that night it wasn't enough.

Brother vs brother. The staredown

The first time someone kicked out of the tombstone piledriver not once, but twice.

This is the type of stuff you read in fictional stories. Steven Spielberg couldn't have done better than this.:ohlawd:

I use to think Kane was really burnt as a kid :francis:

Nash vs Bret, Survivor Series 95

Perfect way for Bret to win and Nash to turn 'tweener after a long time of being a neutered babyface.

The table spot was pretty risky for WWE at the time. Nash mouthing "motherfukker" after losing, and beating down all the refs + powerbombing Bret was perfect. Felt like that moment for the Nash character had been building for a long time and just exploded.

watching that match years ago, I noticed how HHH damn near ruined it with how slow he was moving. especially when rock was either going for the ladder or climbing it. he either sucked that night or was doing it on purpose to make rock look bad. in the end know tho, Greatness knows no limits :sas2:

HHH vs Undertaker at Wrestlemania a few years ago.
When Taker came back got into the ring and before he could do anything HHH music hits he comes down and stares into Takers face then looks at the WM sign.... that was the beginning of great build up to their match at Wrestlemania.

One of the more recent ones for me is actually Sheamus vs D-Bry at Extreme Rules 2012. Always think of that match first when I think of great psychology that happened in last 5 years or so.

Bryan was in full sadistic heel mode post-WM. Possessed to get the strap back. Worked Sheamus' arm to no end, to the the point refs wanted to stop but Sheamus kept fighting it off.

Great stuff overall.

Your stance on it/HHH aside, to this day that match is by far my favorite version of the Ladder Match and probably my all-time favorite match period.
