Drake is the #1 worst rapper of all time, he's a closet homosexual, all his music is weak and corny, his whole image is fabricated, his voice is unbearable, his entire career is the epitome of "Fake it till you make it" and him being so popular just proves hip-hop has degraded to the point that it's become a joke.

Hip hop production today>>>>>>>>than it's ever been, even though the overall quality of the music has dropped. the production on some of these cookie cutter trap songs is better than almost anything being done in the 90s.

I disagree with the 2nd part. Whats crazy is that, some of these trap rappers will have like 1 or 2 traditional hip hop beats on a project.... and those beats are always


The technology and musicality of modern producers has increased exponentially... so when they make a 90s influenced beat, that shyt blows actual 90s beats out of the water.

But modern production has gotten so technological that the artists become less and less distinct ... Every song gotta have certain chords, certain drums,... What made 90s hip hop so ill is that producers would use some wild ass samples, and they weren't always musically sound. Now its like *cue the perfect fender rhodes chord, reversed and filtered through 3 tape saturation vst's*

I agree with you but Kendrick has a number of largely nonsensical verses, his Control verse being one of them.

Control is as fukk. The fact that THAT was what "shook up the game" shows you where "we" at.

BUT: if you are reducing Kendrick's lyrics to "nonsense" you're being disingenuous. Same thing with trying to reduce Eminem's lyrical legacy to shock value stuff, you either don't really know what the fukk you're talking about or you know better and have an agenda.
