Since 2011 hip hop has had the best amount of quality/quantity since the mid 90s

Texas best state in hip hop history

2016 has the best freshman XXL list ever if u take out dave east and lil dikky

Most new artist from New York I hear has been boring as fukk since like 2000, with an exception of 50 Cent, French Montana, Ratking, Flatbush Zombies, Action Bronson and dudes from Harlem. The rest have been boring and wack as fukk besides dudes who came out in the 90s.

Nobody beating Metro Boomin, 808 Mafia, Mike Will Made It on production rn

Lil Wayne top 10

80's beats are absolute trash.

Unknown producers on YouTube make better beats now that there have ever been in hip-hop.

Lil B is one of the most original influential and greatest hip-hop artist to exist over the past decade.

Gucci Mane is a living legend.

Complaining about about new "mumble rappers" makes you seem old and corny because nobody is forcing you to listen to their music.

Migos are not mumble rappers.

Lil Yatchy, Famous Dex, and Lil Uzi Vert are out here living their dreams making a living off music that the youth of today want.

There's no point in telling them to step their bars up because it's what this generation of hip-hop listeners want and they doing just fine without some 40 year old forum posters liking their music.

That "hip-hop is dead" bullshyt only exist because NY is salty they ain't on top no more.

Young Thug is probably the most talented artist out of all the new school of rappers.

Troy Ave is the living embodiment of everything you Coli dudes say u want in a rapper and hate him for no reason.

We get it dude, for the 900th time:facepalm:, you like young Rap.

You are no different than the type you are talking bout:laugh:

Kodak Black is the best artist to come out in the 2010's. Nobody has his combination of lyricism, storytelling, introspect, authenticity, voice, beat selection, image. He has actually quickly become one of my favorite rappers to ever come out the South. He is NOT a mumble rapper and he expresses introspect, regret, spirituality in his music in a way that hasn't been seen from such a young rapper in years.

Troy Ave is actually a good rapper.

Don Q will rap circles around anyone right now, including legends.

21 Savage is actually a good rapper.

What A Time To Be Alive is an absolutely classic mixtape.

Lil Wayne is a top 10 rapper of All-Time.

I don't care if Nas or Jay-Z ever drop an album again. Both have been off-beat for the most part in their last few records, their legacies are solidified and they have nothing left to say.

Cam'ron and Ma$e were as good as Big L in the Children of the Corn days.

Coke Boyz in the early 2010's were what Dipset was to NY in the early-to-mid 00's. French Montana is a better rapper than given credit for. Also, Dipset had a bigger influence and following in the streets of NY than Wu-Tang.

The L.O.X. Money, Power, and Respect album is better than We Are The Streets just based off production alone. Styles P is also low key one of the most influential MC's for the current generation of NY rappers.

Drake has classics. So Far Gone is a classic mixtape, and Take Care is a classic album. Overall, though debating "classics" is pointless. The Coli ranks classics on magazine album scores rather than how an album resonated with the public in real time and how many songs continued to get played years later.

Kingdom Come was actually not a bad album and the production on it is pretty good. Tha Carter IV is also not a bad album.

The beats on Ice Cube's classic albums are ass, the beat on The Predator and Lethal Injection were better IMO, anyone who thinks 80's and early 90's production can stack up to today is out they mind.
Most :trash: post in this thread by far

MF Doom has a better discography than both Nas and Jay-Z.

Sean Price was not a great rapper.

Guru got outshined by every nikka he rhymed with.

Smif N Wessun' s Dah Shinin > Mobb Deep's The Infamous

Steele>Prodigy in '95

Drake would wash Kendrick in a battle

J-live - Epilogue is arguably the greatest rap song ever created.
