Milkshake is one of the worst songs ever made and Kelis was never attractive. A lot of people would agree with me so I guess it wouldn't fit in this thread. :jawalrus:

I've concluded that Biggie is WAAAAY more fun to sing along to then Pac. Recently had a party where we played both. BIG killed, Pac had cats resuming convos.

alot of just young ass people on here

there is nothing wrong with your opinion but when you talk about reality in a clouded mindset ... you need to realize that you're not to be taken too serious

example: someone said OB4CL was trash ... which is understandable for a kid in this time period, but you werent around for that type of life... You simply cant relate and by dismissing and not understanding shyt. It backfires and you dont even know it, people laugh at you

Its like if I said "Man, the Model T was a shytty car" When it was the only car based off a carriage and shyt ... There was a point in time where if you had a "Car" you were the flyest nikka for the next 15 years :russ: Alot of Pac's songs sound average to you because you cant relate... thats how we partied and fought at the time... there was no twitter finger bullshyt. You just randomly see people you didnt like and it was on. How you gonna sell drugs with no sell phone young generation? Answer me that :russ:You gonna call the police when you get yapped up? On what? :russ: Jayz treating Kanye the way he did is a prime example of the clash in generations.... he knew he made dope beats but didnt write his own shyt, he didnt take him serious :manny: Back in the day you were basically the Jackson 5 status if you werent real. Get in the back and play your position or we are about to roll over you :russ:Nobody is going to give fake shyt a light because it would involve your own rep ... and back in the day before all this internet shyt and cameras, phones etc all you had was your rep. You had to watch your own shyt and move strategically. Plus back to that Pac shyt ... he died when he was 25 and still has more songs than your favorite artist... no mixtape bullshyt :russ: I love kids opinions and hearing what they have to say, but 80% of the time its dismissive and ignorant as fukk.... Like up until the late 90s Rakims flow was responsible for the majority of shyt .... thats almost 20 years of influence ... now you wanna be like "Nah Rakim is just a nikka that was mad ...2 out of 5 stars" Nah son :russ: that man is a legend and literally molded hiphop for as long as you've been alive. Hardly anything in life has been influenced for that long off of one thing. You can say you dont like it and not vibe with it, but to completely shyt on it or put it down is just fukking ludicrous on your part and we are all laughing at you. All this basic ass party music isnt even as epic as hammer or as fun as KidNPlay ... we've been done this shyt. You gotta compare yourself to some low tier shyt basically cause yall aint influencing shyt or saying nothing. I can name 1 emcee from back in the day that was meh ... and he would be a megastar in todays climate. Imagine if Too Short came out 5 years ago ... dude would be running the game and have it locked till 2040 easily:russ: Imagine if doggystyle dropped last year how impactful that shyt would be. nikkas used to come through with fukking rocket launchers

Some Neptunes songs are Trash and forced as fck like that "get yo eagle on" song.
Ty dolla could have been a bigger star in the mainstream if his lyrics weren't so vulgar (he has to beat the P up and eat a box in every song).

I'm a big pac fan but I can't stand those "It's time I reveal something Pac said/did even though we barely knew each other and I haven't said shyt about it for 20 years" threads.

I think Future for the most part is trash
Never listened to 2 chains
ASAP Rocky is very average at best
Justin Timberlakes solo discography as a whole > Ushers, although Confessions > JT's best album.

Real hip hop heads actually degrade rap music. Always talking this is what real music is not understanding their putting limitations on rap music. Once you put a definition on what you're defining you're limiting it. They constrict rap and try to stop it from growing and expanding, also meaning they're limiting creativity because they say this is what real rap music suppose sound like.
So hip hop can be anything?
Garth Brooks could be hip hop?

I understand the surface elements that constitutes rap music, but when you say this is what rap music is and rap music isn't, you're limiting creativity.

If we kept rap where it mostly started at it would be hot 16s and freestyle battles. But it has grown and rap has a lot of elements from other genres especially r&b.

So yes Garth Brooks can be hip hop if he brings his country element to rap music.

Stop limiting creativity

Rapping, that's it. Anything else is just putting their own definitions on it.

You can't say beats because rap suppose start in South Bronx, but west coast beats didn't sound like new york, did that not make it rap ?

Then there is those who add in the street element, but you can take that away and still have rap music.

Rap is nothing but spitting bars to a beat or accappella, anything else is what people added on to say this is what rap is.

But if rap didn't expand where it is now, it would be dead. I just don't like those rap heads who try to confine rap by putting it in a box and because of that it can't grow

West Coast beats have a lot in common with NY beats.

You don't think sampling, in any sense, whether it be Herc with the Merry Go Round, Marley Marl, or Dre replaying shyt, is s foundational characteristic?
