Eh, I understand they're necessary but I don't know about all that last line- why are cops some of the least healthy mofos around? (It has ties to how I feel about excessive use of lethal force but that's a dissertation) I find a lot of cops can be some of the biggest ego trippers, going above what's necessary to "ensure safety" yaddayaddayadda; not to mention the ones who think them enforcing the law means they don't have to abide by it.
