That's 2008-12 for me

Wayne - Carter 3
Wayne - No ceilings (not an album but EVERYONE was listening to no ceilings for a few months straight)
Kanye - MBDTF
Nas - Life is Good
Kendrick - GKMC

Now, I do have to mention Chief keef finally rich. If we excluding mixtapes I'd throw that in there.

Lots of great albums but those are the ones I listen to the most. Theatre of the mind by Luda, flockaveli, hunger for more 2..

Also, that rich forever Ross tape was amazing as well.

DETROIT (Do Every Thing Right Or It's Trouble)
1. Blade Icewood - Blood Sweat & Tears or Stackmaster
2. Jeezy - Thug Motivation 101
3. Lil Wayne - Carter 1 & 2
4. The Diplomats - Diplomatic Immunity
5. Jay-Z - The Black Album

I could do top 5 artists instead of albums though

Blade had the city on lock in 2004/2005 and the reason how all of the Detroit Rap scene raps today (RIP)

A lot of heat came out around this time, so it was tough but I came up with:

Childish Gambino - Because The Internet
Joey Bada$$ - 1999
Chance The Rapper - Acid Rap
Freddie Gibbs & Madlib - Piñata
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly
