If black folks start en masse buying up their blocks and erecting businesses, unless you are dealing in higher-margin electronics or manufacturing, there won't be this rennaisance
of jobs and vibrant communities. Its like a neighborhood where there is only hair salons, food joints, and gas stations. Everyone is performing low-pay services, and service economies
are not wealth building. In order to take part in the best businesses for said wealth building, black business owners would have to resort to the very same business tactics that one would
hate from the non-black business owners. Thats assuming they have competitive prices VS Walmart or any other big boy in the area, or even Amazon who may very well be able to deliver
a similar product at a lower price. How many people can a barbershop employ? Jamaican food spot? If not dealing in raw materials or a business where you can command higher prices,
the only people being enriched are the owners, not the community at large. My pride in you owning a business does not put money in MY pocket, so whats in it for me?

Another point, Black community aren't the only people suffering from the above dilemma, it's simply worse due to systemic reasons that are longstanding.

Last point: the real power in "buying a block" is actually owning the land, not the business that
stands on it. If you can own the land, you've got wealth. Businesses come and go. Land doesn't.
