The coli is dope... a lot of like minded individuals. The IT presence is what did it for me tho, it's hard for people(friends,family) to innerstand the dynamics between working in corporate offices during the day and then going home to smoke dope, play ball, produce music and fck bad bitties (*cheat code activated). But y'all get it! at least I think so.. you all could be trolls.. anyway I look forward to building w/ the brehs.

If I recall correctly I landed on this forum while looking for a topic on the perspective of black men/women. I remember reading each comment and seeing the use of these spot on smileys (especially the mjpls one) and feeling like I just found home on the internet.
Then at the end of the each post I noticed the dap system, I was sold.
Because prior to here, I wasn't even in any other forum, I was mostly a Reddit guy even though I knew that it was mostly cacs in there (which would get to me once in a while).
The more I looked at the locker room threads the more I laughed because there are so many stories here spoken from the perspective of black people, that I feel I can relate to a lot that is written even if you all lead lives so different from my own.
The most shocking aspect of the coli is the love for PAWGs but even that I understand as in real life my closest homie is somewhat close to how @Chris.B presents himself out here. It doesn't really bother me, except for when nikkas call sisters bedwenches
. I don't really fukk with that hipocrisy
but whatever, this is the internet.
The c00n label, dangerous as it may be – since it's become quite overused in the forum – was one that even before coming here I was able to recognize in real life. But it's a phenomenon that I now understand a little more about, because now when I see a black person behaving oddly I can put my finger closer as to why they're doing so.
However, what really cemented how special this place was for me were the stories of @General Mills and @Walt. I'm highly appreciative of comedy and I've read quite a few number of books in my life, many of them funny...but I've never laughed as hard at other stories than the ones I found here. I guess partially because of the smileys (of which General Mills appears to have a great mastery of) and partially because Walt proved to me (with the analysis of the BM/WW relationship dynamic) that the black perspective is completely different from any other out there and ought to be greatly explored so that we may be able to better recognize each other through our experiences. For any of the other newbies, if you haven't yet then you should check out the threads:
- "The Chronicles of General Mills"
- "By Popular Demand: True Colliwood Stories – College Athletics."
These particular two threads ain't safe at all for work though, so read them at your own risk.
