According to the subreddit, he mentioned his mother not being well a couple of times over the last few months, too. That's tough, man. No sane person could reasonable be expected to hold it together though possibly losing half of your immediate family like that.

Now I get why Dan has been so adamant on how annoyed he is with having to manage Meadowlark and how he thought he was going to be "liberated" by leaving ESPN but ended up with even more responsabilities.
He clearly needs a month off to be with his family but that company does not have the infrastructure to not go to shyt without him ("best" case is Samson gets more power and everything crumbles, lol). Skipper should step it up and get someone worth a damn that can take some of the responsabilities from Dan, let dude get time off and comeback as mostly a radio host so we can get annoyed at his shytty takes....
