Stu was a goner either way I think. He was already phoning it in before they left ESPN and Dan was going to end up burning enough bridges before getting fired anyway, he hated what ESPN was becoming in 2019-2021, there was no way he would've stayed there 4 more years.

Choosing Sampson never made any fukking sense though.

If anything, Dan should've just gone with Simmons to The Ringer and let him take care of the business side. Bill would've given Dan carte blanche to do whatever the hell LeBatard wanted to do in Miami too

Yeah, imagine Dan Lebatard having to act like Bob Iger showing up on the Manningcast last night wasn't the Disney equivalent of state sponsored propaganda. He was leaving one way or another.

Also, anyone positioning current day Stugotz as some sort of crucial element to a good show clearly hasn't listened to any of the bullshyt he's putting out on his own. This is just a case of two men in their 50s not being to keep a show going the same way that they used to.
