yea, roy aint really wanted to be a talking head like the rest of them and when there's something he's passionate about, he speaks up, but there's a reason they phone a black friend on some of this stuff, roy doesn't want to be a talking head and i'm good with that, not like he's ever out there c00nin

The absolute thing this week crystallized is that Amin is really important as a counterbalance on that show

Yea, this is pretty much what it is. When Roy first got with the show, pretty sure he expected to be a behind the scenes producer.

I think just naturally over the years the show became more & more inclusive on air of all the different people a part of the team. And then either at the Lebron to Miami era, or right before then, it was intentionally accelerated for everybody to become a part of the on air show (smart direction to take, imo, by Dan & Stu).

Billy, Chris, etc joined the show knowing they’d probably be on air a lot. If Roy could interject as little as Allyson did, he probably would show already got so many personalities, Roy being Roy is cool.
