I wouldn't read too much into who people date/marry. A lot of it is just luck, timing and circumstance.

Most people aren't doing too much strategizing about their lives. They just try to handle what's in front of them and keep it moving.

For all we know, she sat next to him at freshman orientation his first day on campus or some shyt and that was that. Black girls would've never even gotten a shot if that happened.
