Everything is far away from us :francis:

I probe might be sent, but you would be dead well before it arrives
Read the bold below!
Proxima Centauri being 4 light years away makes it likely impossible for human travel in our life times..

We're likely going to have to figure out how to fold space time if man wants to travel interstellarly.. If this is even possible

Voyager 1 is going like 40,000 mph and would still take like 80,000 years to reach Proxima Centauri..

NASA is supposed to be developing some tech that would allow for travel at a fifth the speed of light, but it's only allowing for a very small probe.. I think microscopic.. and at a fifth the speed of light it'd take 20 years..
That's all we'd need. Processors today in your phone are more powerful than the Voyagers.
Article indicates that due to the proximity of the sun to this potential super earth, radiation is probably problematic; stripping the planet of some key elements like -oxygen, hydrogen, and nitrogen.
This is why a probe is essential. That's based off our sun, but Proxima Centauri is a red dwarf. And the article did say it's pure speculation, as to what effect it may have.

The biggest issue with it is the long exposure to radiation would damage it's instrumentation..

And then mapping a course so far out to where it doesn't run into anything lol

I think we'll send humans to Mars in our lifetime and that will likely be the last big thing we see in our lifetime..

They're called space chips. And what NASA didn't tell u is that it won't happen for a long time
The power needed to propel them is not something humanity is really capable of yet.

They're supposed to use 20 nuclear power plants to power a laser that pushes them incredibly fast.

And lifetime needs to be defined...cause it depends on how old someone is lol.

I'm 42...so for me, within the next 45 years.
