The conversation Cane was having with Noma about how it was being a black kid growing up in the streets and people like to harm children, it’s heavily implied that he was sexually abused as a child and Monet protected him. And if this what Cane was implying to, then Monet a real ass mother for this. Anybody who harms children deserves a death sentence, whether it’s on television or in real life.

It completely came out of left field though and makes Monet look like an even worse mother for treating him like she did all these seasons. You can add Lorenzo to that to as a lot of Cane's issues are on him as well. It would have helped if he was part of those flashbacks as well.
They would have been better off just using the "Family First" mantra as to why he wouldn't turn against her.

Davis looks like he doesn't want to be there half the time. The highlight of his day was doing the yum yum bouncy bounce with Noma. When he's not doing that, he has to listen to Tariq whine about BS and he speaks to everyone like he overdosed on Prozac.
It's weird how Cane seems to be Team Monet so much. When the show started, he resented her for trying to run things, didn't respect her authority, and wanted to prove to Lorenzo that he was ready to lead the family. That was his biggest goal for years.
If Lorenzo hadn't died, Cane would have been closer to him than Monet. But seeing how Cane is written now, he most likely would have resented Lorenzo for not being Monet and he would have been the one to tell Monet that Lorenzo killed Zeke.
