Because the groundwork for the game is usually already done and the community guys are basically on payroll to promote it, and sometimes balance it after the fact. Balanced trash is still trash.
In reality they should consult them before they lay the groundwork.

Thats not the issue. The animators and battle designer is at fault. If the game is floaty or lacks weight to certain attacks its not on Wong.
Wong probably focused on footsies and matchups.

Big new update just released....3 new characters (blue movie ranger, yellow dragon armor ranger and white mystic force ranger) as well as a proper story mode and all the rangers have proper voice acting. Both the Red and Green ranger are voiced by Austin St John and Jason David frank respectively so it sounds very authentic playing the game now
