If they wanted to end it next year, I think this season would have moved much faster.
I personally think Ghost and Tommy are headed for a Breaking Bad-style breakup next year. Somethings gonna happen (maybe during the finale?) to get them back on really good terms, then Tommy is gonna find out that a.) Holly was pregnant, Ghost knew and let Tommy off her, and b.) Ghost manipulated him into murdering his father.
Once that’s out, the way this show moves the final season will be Ghost vs. Tommy, with everyone else caught in the middle.
Or at least that’s my prediction.
the scene i am talking about is when they were alone eating at the table. He says "something aint right, we've been doing this score 20 years no problem suddenly we get stopped? I think tommy is a rat". Tony then tells him how dumb that talk is due to the fact its tommy supplying the stuff so hed be cutting his own nose to spite his face. Then moments later his friend changes the subject by saying "this thing with the feds being up your azz, you got to give up tommy man" it was psychedelic
if he knows all about tony cutting a deal for a provisional release and the ultimatum he was handed by the feds how is it then guess work who in the organization would tell the authorities about the shipment?
He barely knows tommy but he wasnt going to rat him out. He has no allegiance to ghost at all. He stabbed his best friend because he wanted him to sell his son down the river and was going to out him. Did he not do 25 years because he wasnt a snitch?

Was there an end game to simon stern ?and he was 10x more formiddable. I like their scenes even tho i think tate is a disappointing character its a good change up for ghost. He should be mixing it up with shady business men and should leave all the drugs and killing to tommyI still don't see the big picture with Ghost and Tate.
The only thing that kept him from ratting Tommy out was his wife saying "you're really gonna rat the only family you got left"? teresi was singing on Tommy every chance he got. They was gonna bring up the RICO case again because Teresi told them about that check on Tommy's table,
