Gott. Damn. @AkaDemiK KILLED that shyt. @bigrodthe1 had an ill beat too, but Ak really gave him that work. My only gripe with Rod's was that the drums were a little stiff. Other than that, that shyt was tough, especially that bassline.

The transitions are perfect. Love the record backspin and that eerie loop with that dusty break.
Love every section of that beat. One of my favorite tracks I've heard in the Tunnel period.

Fa sho...it's not over yet though trend I see, which I already knew, it's hard to get the vote from the majority of the fellow beatmakers here because most LOVE the sample driven tracks...not that I have anything against those tracks cause I wish I could chop samples as well as the heavy hitters on The Coli but I can't at this moment so I go the other elements such as arrangements and sequencing...but also I'm a little salty that my drums are downplayed cause if you pay attention I had to cut in and out about 50 different arrangements when I put them together in the final mix

another great battle here, @bigrodthe1 your shyt is tough as aka's really liking the vibe, also a great mix that bass is on point. Both yalls mixes got me jealous haha might need to step my game up there

after hearing akademiks beat i was almost positive he would take the win here, but big gets my vote. At first i was feeling aka's more but when i went through them again i gotta go with big's beat, that shyt really hits

Both beats were tough! As mentioned before, AK did a great good job on nailing that JB vibe. Rod's bassline and melody were on point. Ya'll both put in work in these beats. Both mixes were very nice. I ma rock with AK on this one on a very close one. I felt his drums did more to the beat. Salute to you both.

rod, i can definitely hear improvements in your melodic structures on your tracks. Track needed to be a bit cleaner though, overall it was a good track, just needed to be cleaned up a bit.....

Both beats were real dope. Good battle brehs. I felt Rod took it by a real slim margin. I just liked his creativity more and how he had that eerie vibe sounding funky. That was some new type of shyt right there.

Another battle I was really looking forwarded too. It turned out great. I was really feeling the instrumentation and how Rod put his beat together but the drums more specifically the kick was lacking in that department or at least I felt like it needed a more punchier one or a big impacting one because the beat sounded like some Dr.Dre shyt or some music that could be played in a movie score etc. I did like the change up in the drums when the chorus part came in though. I was just watching bad boys 2 and it reminded me of some of the music that was in that film.

AK came with a dope sample flip, drums were dope, and the mix was on point. I rocked with his beat hard and gave him my vote.
