lets be real UT was built horrible, that old style run it up the middle with a big offensive line and 3 nikkaz that look and run the same malcolm gray, joe bergeron and that other nukka i think got kicked off the team wasn't working. NO One plays that offense anymore, even lsu and bama threw that ish in the bushes.

mack brown on tv smiling while strong has to clean up his mess.

Too early to say that Heard isn't the future. What I do realize is that Swoopes is a band aid. They counted on Ash to play the entire year. That was a mistake. Heard was going to be the qb next year. He may still even play qb this year. He is a better running threat than Swoopes at this point in their careers. Passing is about the same. In fact, if they instituted a spread offense, heard would be more than ready to play.

And yeah Bomani is saying what most same Texas fans are saying. Mack Brown and his lazy azz recruiting destroyed this program. The fact that Case Mccoy was qb at Texas tells you how lazy he had become. Mack never took advantage of the 05 championship.

heard and swoopes suck
case mccoy was never supposed to start just a charity case like jj watt brother at wisconsin
he kept getting thrown into the wildfire because david ash couldn't tell how many fingers were being hold up

that offense is dead all throughout college football

only crummy big ten teams run that and well we know how big ten football is at the moment :sas1:

even lsu and bama go hurry up, etc. nowadays, even old ass bill snyder runs up a hurry up offense with jake waters

this hand it up the middle for a draw play, wait 30 seconds look to the sideline snap the ball and run it up the gut again, then a short 3-5 yard pass that doesn't pick up a first down is archaic and disgusting.

So... over 100 posts and nothing's been said except a couple of idiots posting from their fan messageboard? Why are you guys acting like every team doesn't have a group of unrealistic overbearing fans that always overreact? This is not unique to UT and says nothing about him being in any trouble, unless you're one of those people that believe administrations fire HCs based of messageboard talk :manny:

One thing that all us Louisville fans knew, but apparently the rest of the country overlooked, is that Charlie Strong's offensive scheming is TERRIBLE. We struggled watching that garbage ass offense for years. We were winning, so it never became a major concern, but dude's offensive game plans were beyond suspect. Dude had Bridgewater and Devante Parker, who's a projected 1st Round receiver next draft, and never utilized them correctly. He had so many weapons that he never even used. Bridgewater would've put up ridiculous numbers under a competent offense.

When it comes to defense, discipline, motivation and respect, dude is the absolute shyt. But his offense and special teams are very suspect. He needs to go out and get a big name offensive coordinator and just completely hand the scheming and play calling over to him. I wanna see him flourish in Texas, but he's gonna have to address his deficiencies in order to do so.

the first word being "look" set the tone for the entire thing. Classic authoritative word:mjpls:
:russ::russ:

That and when they call Charlie by his first name with a pause afterwards...the pause being them waiting for your undivided attention :mjpls:

Charlie...:beli::beli::beli:

I'm almost certain Charlie doesn't scheme the offense or give much input. Most of Longhorn nation was weary of him carrying along Shawn Watson to UT, but its hard to place blame when the majority of players kicked off the team have been on the offensive side of the ball, our starting C is out, Ash is out, and our top 2 tackles are likely suspended indefinitely. Not to mention we literally have the least experienced starting OL in the nation. Improvement on that side of the ball from game to game will be the only positive going forward.

I think they are going to have to give the keys to Swoopes and let him sink or swim. Teams aren't going to allow that one read shyt pass this weekend. I don't think there is any hope for the ground game with the OL in the turmoil that it is. Swoopes strength is supposed to be throwing down the field. The offense needs to be opened up if its ever going to be successful with Swoopes at the helm.

Play calling was real suspect. Way too many run plays that he would utilize to control tempo, very little imagination in the play calling, Teddy had very little freedom. Strong kept the cuffs on him. He could've put up CRAZY numbers. Would've been a serious Heisman contender if Strong would've opened things up.

Shawn Watson has to go. Louisville fans were calling for his head (pause) the last two seasons.

LMAO, Strong just went into playing for his job mode two games into the season..
That is how it goes at UT :manny:

Esp when you replace a coach like Mack

But he isn't, he was given 3 years to right the ship, 2 if it goes horribly bad. The people that are acting like he is on a hot seat now are the people that don't know what they are talking about and are pushing the kneejerk reactions. Doesn't matter what any of the boosters think either, this is Patterson's call. The more rational fans still believe Charlie is the guy and will have this thing going by year 2 and 3.
