Very. We actually staying in a inn town while we look for apartments or some form of house. My wife actually passed her test for her job to get a pay increase.
Also we were able to take care of the car and insurance.
Yall help us so much get to the right direction along with getting us out of the hole we were in.
It's a start on the right path. Just hope we are able to find a apartment because I'm tired of these damn hotels. But one day at a time.

Mods yall can unsticky this. Things are way better, but I'm still keeping the GFM page up just for minor issues. However, things are a bit stabilized compared to a week or so ago.
From the bottom of my heart, my family and I love yall so much for this. Words can't express how much we are grateful for every single prayer, well wish, gif, troll shenanigans, financial blessing, and advice that we gather throughout this weird time of our lives.
It took so much for me to reach out because I know the stigma of these types of threads. I remember on various forums of folks coming up with some fukk shyt story and have brehs dropping money, only to find out the shyt was ducktales.
My pride became a overshadow because the problem been in the way for quite some times. If yall seen some of my "gimmick" postings, it was "wink wink" nudge nudge with the whole ordeal. From living in various hotel rooms, moving to a city only to get screwed out of our finances (to the point we were in a shelter), and lastly living out of our car, while folks whom claim to help just gave us a gift card, a shytty hotel room, and shamed us in church for being in the way of their vibes.
Yall, not only proven that humanity still exists, but God works through (Atheists brehs, let me have this one). Damn my gimmick, damn the stigma of my posts history, and damn my wife's big headed mug along with my chubby ass being all in the videos for the world to see.

I am speaking from the heart that if it wasn't for this amazing community, my wife and I would had shared that bowl of ramen while we tried to make things work with our son (choke sandwiches IYKYK). That day I dropped this thread, we went from sleeping in the Walmart parking lot to sleeping in the exact same hotel room we first lived in when we moved down to Alabama. Square biz, the room was kept just for us (sadly since the cleaning ladies did not do shyt but fixed some pillows
).
Now we are in a Inn Town and planning on finding a place to call our own because this place needs us. I want to fix up this alarming issue with the homeless situation in this county, because ain't no fukking way families that are struggling can't have at least a bed to sleep on. Its a time thing, but baby steps in the right direction.
For now, Mods can take this down...but if yall want to let it ride a bit longer

@Universal Koala Prayers up 4 u n ur family¡¡ The coli iz more than a family ItZ an army¡¡ I was ever so grateful for all the help I received when I was in ur situation. I was homeless again last year, sometimes sleeping in a tent. I didn't tell anyone I was sleeping in a tent even though I asked for help from time 2 time due 2 embarrassment but I was blessed with temporary transitional housing until I get sumthin permanent. I have a shytload of resources that might could help get u housing temp 2 perm. Especially with y'all sleeping in ur car with a child u maybe eligible for emergency housing assistance. Apply for emergency housing assistance again, say ur money ran out n y'all r back sleeping in ur car. When they come out 2 certify n document (take pictures) make it look like y'all are back sleeping in the car. Basically lie cuz hotels r more expensive than a real place so they don't feel it's an emergency. Breh the problem is that we are too damn honest. I would mess around and slip up in the midst of the interview, just like I did when we had a interview before. The main issue with everything was the fact that we took a huge gamble with this overseas situation, which backfired and hurt us so much. Bad enough, people thought we were crazy in the process of trying to get things done. We just grateful to at least have EBT despite it being just enough.Trust, I vow to not let that shyt happened again along with my family. Right now, we just playing it by ear because the whole emergency housing situation is bullshyt. Sadly, most of the folks down here don't want to help families but just get the "riffraff" off the streets. Its preaching to the choir especially with the crazy homeless situation where I am at. I seen more people on the streets down here its not even funny.
Hell, I was calling left and right shelters and family services, and it was all tone deaf responses. Only person that actually had some sort of empathy was this lady that was over a all women's shelter. She legit sounded so sad and concerned about our situation, while everybody else sucked their teeth and made it seem like we were ruining their day.
All and all, we doing our best to get out of the whole hotel situation from looking at townhouses to just regular apartments. Technically, we are in a "complex" but like I told my wife, I'm not letting this place eat up our funds. Something gotta give

Please believe I understand what y'all are going thru the organizations that r supposed 2 give assistance ack like they don't want 2 help. The thing is u have a child n they r supposed 2 make y'all a priority cuz of how it will affect him mentally. Now how 2 not fumble the interview. Write out situation and read it when calling around so u don't fucc up ur eligibility. Now when they come out 2 certify u as homeless n take pictures of ur car that u r "sleeping in" don't talk 2 much just give short answers think of when y'all were actually sleeping there 2 keep ur answers 2 questions legit. There should be shelters that takes families with children salvation army is the best 1 to call for assistance and if they can't help u they will refer u 2 other shelters that take families. U have 2 do most of the legwork urself and b ur own advocate cuz they really ack like they don't care what u r going thru. And since ur wife works will b a big help cuz it shows y'all have income 2 pay rent. Look up ur local housing authority 2 c what programs u can apply for also.

The crazy thing was that I was the main one losing my shyt, while my son was level headed in the process. Dude has crazy faith and look at this whole thing as one big adventure. When we were in the car and was on the verge of living in the car, we reached out to Salvation Army but they were going to separate us, and that is a no go for us as a family. We fought hard through these troublesome times, only for a place to say "we not taking families". We took our chances with the faith that somehow someway we would get out of the funk.
Then I just surrendered and reached out to the Coli brehs for help. Thankfully, I did...otherwise we would be worse off than before. At the end of this all, I just want this thread and our situation to inspire others to just reach out and do what you gotta do. Yes the gamble is too much to deal with, but you can say that you at least tried. You learned the truth about who really cares for you and who doesn't.
Who wants you to succeed, while others want you to fall. I have no regrets because my son seen how shytty his family truly is, how much his parents love him (I mean this dude was spoiled as all hell even in homelessness lol), and most of all...to not give up.
All we can do is just keep looking and knowing that there's nothing but up for us, and not down for our dark days are passed us.

That's how my daughter was when I was homeless the 1st time, she was very upbeat and didn't mind sleeping in the car she was more worried about me than our living situation. Stay positive and keep pushing cuz better days r ahead. If y'all can get thru this 2gether y'all can get thru anything life throws at y'all
