I'm really having a hard time dealing with this shyt.

I take movies very seriously and was this close to being a screenwriter with my degree in creative writing until I accidentally saw the painting studio at Morgan State University.

I apologize for my harshness and my words to y'all. You all have the right to like what y'all like and I had no right to speak ugly to y'all the way I did and for that I apologize.

Predator was the 1st film my father ever took me to see and instantly I was fan. I actually cried when the Predator died. I wanted him to win so badly.

And then Batman came out and that was my first superhero film.

It's still a great film and aged well to 2025. Jack Nicholson is the reason I love purple and the reason why I love the Joker and wear face paint at my art shows and when I'm outside.

I can't do this anymore. I can't support Hollywood, and I damn sure can't waste my time bootlegging it anymore.

Quentin Tarratino was right....the movies they releasing are slop and they will continue to be slop. The screenwriters lack imagination and all play to an agenda.

They made the Predator into a fukking family film.

Entertaining movie for what it is:ehh:

I prefer when the Predators are mysterious bad guys but this world fits with their lore. The Disney sidekicks and a jar jar binks was too much at times. And everybody being expendable robots loses some danger

That this film flopped (despite being the highest grossing of the franchise) is emblematic of what's changed with Hollywood and the viewing audience. It's not a great "Predator" movie but it is a great throw back to late 90s through early 2010s summer blockbuster cinema.

Put this movie out in any of those summers with the exact same plotline/storybeats but remove the Predator brand and just use DiCaprio, Will Smith or Matt Damon as the lead (or '90s Arnold or Bruce Willis)... and the movie would fit right in as a typical new IP star-driven popcorn flick.

But with no more conventional movie stars and old IPs being "the old reliable", studios are too risk adverse with putting out original content with sizable budgets. They'd rather dress it up within an existing IP, which is what they tried to do here.

I ain't mad at it but at this point these Alien and Predator IPs are better off as just streaming shows, since the audience that would've gone to the theaters for these will now just watch them at home, like they did with the Alien show.

I thought it was a good combination of the Predator and Alien franchises. Got a little Disney with that ending and it was PG13 but the violence was still good. Love the Alien Planet they were on. Also the incorporation of the Waylan Yutani Androids tied in really good I just enjoyed watching an entire movie from the Predator's point of view. Young Predator was hard too, he was like the Chosen One Predator lowkey. That's why all the others died on that Planet and when he came back and flexed on his Pops. I was like damn. I just don't see how anything survives that place. It took everything for him to get off that Planet. The main Monster was wild. It was basically immortal that's why all the other Predator's died fighting it. Coming off "Prey" it was a good sequel. Still got to watch the animated joint. If I saw this in the 90's-00's I probably would have been blown away. I always wanted more Predator Planet stuff in space versus always coming to Earth.

Just finished watching this. I thought it was decent, 7.5/10. I prefer Prey over this, though.

Anyway, Predator: Badlands felt like Kong: Skull Island meets Avatar lol... but it worked.

I do feel as though the fight at the end between Dek and his father should've lasted longer.

Also, I didn't know that Elle Fanning had a booty :ehh:
