This was fire. Way better than prey

A+ from Tractorberg
:whoa:

This shyt was fire. I kinda agree it was a bit less serious than I anticipated but still good. I actually would put Prey above this personally though that was a dope Predator film. Not sure the about the hate for that film

shyt was fire. The amount of creativity would probably take James Cameron 15 years to think of it..
I was thinking the exact same thing when watching this especially since the trailer for the new Avatar played right before it. Genna is what Pandora wishes it was. As soon as Dek touched down everything was trying to kill him nonstop. The thought that went into making this planet deadly and set design was amazing.

Caught this IMAX 3D Thursday night. Was kind of fire actually. I enjoyed it a lot. Way better than Prey. Fight choreography was definitely on point. The world felt like an actual death planet. The Kalisk was formidable as hell. We need more hunts with actual challenges.

With it obviously being placed in the Alien Universe I wonder how they're going to incorporate the Xenomorphs. I hope they keep the goofy sh*t to a minimum and no Android David/Walter nonsense. Tessa and Thia were good though.

2nd best Predator movie after The 1st (nothing is topping this), though the franchise doesn't have a high bar.

Just got finished watching it. Would pay to watch again. No filler, straight story and action. Felt for all the characters, great progression, great pace and great ending.

I honestly can’t think of anything off the top of my head that would make it better.

My wife HATES movies like this (sci-fi mixed with horror and gore) and I honestly expected her to fall asleep. She was hyped at the end asking if we should stay for a post credit scene.

:russ:

Excellent movie. Definitely watching again. Had no idea Dek is a Breh in real life until I looked up the actor afterwards.

there's a post cred scene?

can someone spoiler tag it?
There isn't one but the mid-credit scene at the end where he says his mother made me damn near jump out my seat.

OG Dark Horse comic fans already know. She's coming. Someone also had a theory..
What if the ship that's approaching isn't his mother but the same one from the end of Killer Of Killers with Torres and Kenji running from the king Predator...They could be forming their own clan with Dek, Thia, and the Kalisk

Saw it last night in Screen X, never making that mistake again. I do not like that. But I did love the movie. Whatever Trachtenberg has up next for Predator, I'm there for it. He's turned this franchise around putting out fresh and exciting ways to tell the story of the Yautja. A young runt learning how to work in a team after being deemed the weakest and going to a death planet? I'm down. Predator is cool af and deserves this!

SN: His name is Dek but I dubbed him Dak Prescott and when you hear how they talk about him in the movie, you'll end up agreeing.

That's what I initially though since it's the same ship from KoK. Once Dek said it was his mother I scratched that idea.

That would make the next live action movie the sequel to KoK and I don't think they'd do that especially since they teased Arnold. It makes more sense at his age to voice Dutch then play him in live action.

It also would be a letdown for him to say it was his mother and it wasn't. They teased her character so they'd have to follow through.
