This. I'm all for vigilanteism against sexual predators. It's one of those things we all gotta come together as adults and protect our children. But these guys gotta know how to move. There's already all types of legal arguments lawyers can play with if all they have to work off of are decoy online conversations with no actual child involved. But smacking.the guy across the face on camera? Not only could the guy now counter-charge for assault but the lawyers can make even more arguments about this vigilante sting being unlawful and their client being the victim.
Every independent internet watch group in the past knows you should never strike your victim or do anything that can be argued as "entrapment" to get them. Such as having the decoy offer sex first.
There's a reason NBC retired To Catch a Predator. And it's not because it wasn't an insanely popular show.
nikkas care more about online media clout than actually taking the patient steps to get these guys locked up.
