I think a lot of people on here thought Melo would be in the same class as LeBron, so they are amazed by him being so damn washed.

Melo never got calls like other super stars get, he'd a probably averaged over 30 a game a few times if he was treated fairly. Still to this day he doesn't get calls

2k ratings are dumb, it's on a 99 point scale but hardly anything under mid 70s are utilized.

I remember back in 2k14 there was a roster on PC that had a lot of role players/free agents/etc as low as 40s, and star players were 75+. So if it was the same in 2k19 you'd see a really big difference between LeBron and Luol Deng or some random bench player.


Now you play a MyLeague and nobody under 80 even gets playing time. Free agents are useless because they rarely get picked up. There's not usually a ton of separation between decent/good/great shooters so you don't see teams picking up a 3pt specialist or bringing in somebody to help with rebounding off the bench. Just makes it feel unrealistic.

Rookies too, you never see 2nd round steals in 2k or developing later draft picks into serviceable role players or starters.

I only play MyLeague though.
