Maybe this is idealistic but I think more than a few Republicans vote to remove him, not so much for the good of the country, but Trump's toxicity has spread into the polls and Republican's are being booted out their strongholds left and right. Trump is turning into a curse word in state/local politics.

Would probably have to be really safe Republican seats to vote to convict and weather the backlash storm. Romney comes to mind immediately as someone who could easily vote to convict since he isn't up for reelection until 2024 in a state that hasn't voted for a democratic senator in 45 years.

I'd bet a few Dems vote against. Collins may vote in favor. If it were a secret ballot, Trump would be gone.
