He will do just fine. He's presumably in the best shape of his life and has been training behind the scenes apparently.

He'll be fine. Not expecting greatness due to the layoff and his age, but I doubt he and Darby can have a bad match.

Punk will probably find his groove (if he really does have something left in the ring) about 3-4 months into this run.

It would make sense if he wrestled Sting instead or somebody like Scorpio Sky. Just somebody that will get Phil back in the mix since he's been away for 7 years.

Him and Darby will be all over the place for the wrong reason, but if I'm wrong then so be it. Yet again, if ya know ya know

I'm very curious about this.

There's a ton of factors that could go against him having a great match. Ring rust and his opponent being someone he has no history with and doesn't have the experience to lead the match being the main ones.

BUT, Punk's forte was always this type of setting. A big match, high stakes (for him) and being fully motivated to show people he still has it. He always stepped up and went up a level when it was a situation like this one.

Gonna be interesting seeing what they end up coming up with.

Wasn't like his skinny fat ass was an athletic specimen before he left. Can't even say he was a great wrestler. Moveset was Elbow drop was trash, nobody has ever botched their own finisher more.

It was about the total package with him.
