What steps are you taking to prepare for the next recession...seems like the signals calling for one are increasing. I've reduced debt...about to pay off last 1K and owe nothing but the mortgage. Also being careful looking for my next job...in a stable (and boring) one now and being very picky about where to go next.

Really all you can do is pay off debt, stack up your savings and increase your skillset. If you’re in a recession “proof” industry, you should be good. If not, you may want to start looking.
