Good. Ending the drug war is the best possible thing for society. Take a look at Portugal and the system they have in place. It works, period.

Good for Canada for trying something different. We have a heroin epidemic right now and we need new methods to solve it. The 'throw all druggies' in jail route hasnt worked for 50+ years so I applaud Canada for innovating their health management. A regulated drug market is far better than what we currently have.

As a taxpayer that's how I feel.
I'd prefer to feel happy, not waste money, and not lock people up.
As a tax payer I would like my habits to balance the budget... even create a surplus not sink us into debt.

I think drug addicts are the "scum of the Earth" as they say, but I also wholly support the state ending the drug war by decriminalizing drug addicts, subsidizing treatment centers, helping people wean their addictions, and helping create an environment of stability around the addict themselves.

The cognitive dissonance.
The Nordic countries, Portugal, and a few other states are clearly moving in the right direction to end the drug war.
Marijuana is still the most ridiculous part, and the hemp industry is still being strong armed.

I guess baby steps.
