This is a try hard, know nothing post by Tariq.
Congresswoman Jackson Lee represents a district in Texas, not Mississippi. but more importantly she's the co-chair of the Congressional Pakistan Caucus. I'm assuming Tariq didn't know that, or don't care.
Bennie Thompson is the US Congressman that covers most of Jackson. And he has actively been in the mix in reference to the water issue.

It's a stupid post because Congressmen/Women and US Senators have overseas responsibilities. Because many of them sit on committees and caucuses that deal with overseas activities.
Just because a Congress representative post a tweet about involvement overseas does not mean another matter/topic isn't being discussed or worked through. Especially when she's not even the representative for that district. It's dishonest and misleading on his part to gullible people who don't know any better and just want to be angry about something.
