CNN gave Trump relentless (free) coverage of rallies and speeches. CNN also provided a platform to Trump's most vocal surrogates in the media. It was CNN, not Fox News, whose coverage had the greatest influence on Trump's campaign and eventual election.

Whenever this man sneezed they had a panel ready to comment on how fukked up it was. It's been like that since Feb. Everytime he spoke at a rally MSNBC and CNN would steam it live in its entirety. At least Fox would cut away to move on to other news then give highlights.
