Did 'OK' with respect to not prolonging white supremacist rule in Zimbabwe (formerly the wicked regime of Rhodesia).

Could've done A LOT more to dismantle Apartheid in South Africa and pulling Apartheid South Africa's occupation of Namibia and its illegal wars in Angola.

He also helped to start neoliberalism in the United States but that's your own wahala :mjlol:

Pinning the Rise of Neoliberalism on Ronald Reagan Lets Democrats Off Easy

I feel ya but given how every other government in the US and UK that had existed were running interference for thr Ian Smith regime (despite the UDI spitting in the UK's face) he gets credit. South Africa played it smart unfortunately and threw Ian Smith under the bus to get themselves a pass. It worked.

Maybe one day this century we will find out if Rhodesia or N. Rhodesia offer Hammerskjold.

He wasn't that great as a president. shytty economy , inflation over 10%, energy crisis, Iran hostage, the failed rescue, and terrible relationship with Congress including his own party.

He did a whole lot more great things after he was president though. Great human being.

It was a lot more complex than that and involved South Africa, Rhodesia, Northern Rhodesia, MI5, CIA, NSA, several mining companies and a belgian mercenary who was a British fighter pilot during WW2. But we already know that complexity isn't your thing and your understanding of colonial continuities is limited and one dimensional.
