You miss a political figure who set the precedent for Maduro
Here's the difference, when Chavez first came on the scene he represented change. Dude was iffy, but like I said, Maduro is no comparison. He behaves and carries himself like a dictator. Chavez at least cared for the people.

look how the west media made Venezulea trend on twitter but not Haiti when millions took to the streets for two months. even with Us military playing standby at the Haiti airport(PAP). no mainstream media not even in south florida with 200+ Haitians getting killed

Ahh... He cared for the people! A guy who single-handedly eroded human rights guarantees in Venezuela. A guy who openly supported the likes of al-Assad, Gaddafi, Ahmadinejad & Putin.
