What you fail to recognize is that the reason this thread is flopping is not because anyone likes going to Syria (check the post history, I am the biggest pacifist on this board all the way around), but because I think you're being purposefully obtuse and dishonest. Basically, you, @Ill and others are mad at being shytted on in every thread so you find the loosest thread possible to claim hypocrisy and then champion a victory that you never really gained. I'm not 21 in law school with next to no money anymore, I don't have the time for protracted debates on here. My most common post of the past 3 months has been "shut up" or "shut the fukk up" of some variation. You think I would deviate from that, for YOU? Well, I'll do it this once.

People like you and @Ill don't win debates, you're conservative based on some basic ass principles and spend all your time on the defensive. You never put forth anything to support you being correct, you just look for reasons to say the competition is wrong. You are the Republican debate with the benefit of google and copy and paste to make your specious arguments a little sharper. The troops were coming out of Iraq in 2011 regardless of who was President. An agreement for all US troops to leave Iraq by the end of 2011 was signed by the Bush administration in 2008. The Obama administration was actually trying to keep some troops beyond the 2011 deadline but the Iraqi government wasn't having it.

This mess going on in the middle east is the fault of England, France, and other European powers dividing up the Ottoman Empire in the 1920's. Creating artificial borders while ignoring local customs, culture, etc just like they did in the late 1800's/early 1900's in Africa with colonization. Let's also not forget creating Israel in 1948, overthrowing the prime minister of Iran in 1953, supporting the Shah up until the 70's which then led to the Iranian Revolution which now we have a theocracy in a country that used to be secular , supporting Saddam during the Iraq-Iran War in the 80's and then turning on him in 1990 when he disobeyed orders (or misunderstood orders?), supporting the Islamist against a secular government in Afghanistan, and so much more.
