President of Morehouse College removed from post. What do you expect Trump to do with HBCU's?

Morehouse can't become a STEM hub like the elite STEM schools because they received billions of dollars to push the Cold War agenda for the US decades ago, and subsequently were fed by an increasingly elite group for decades, donating massive amounts, continuing to send the top children nation-wide, etc.
Morehouse would need to get the top-tier Black students worldwide, as well as make it more reasonable to go there.

nikkas are always lying on Obama. It's a baffling phenomena.

Maybe Trump is the wake up call many people need. :dame:

I'm over that way.

And as far as morehouse and Clark Atlanta, it's no secret they've been going through some things financially. The students here know this. The AC stopped working during midterms last semester. And yes they made it mandatory to stay on campus till your
Junior year and have a a meal plan all four years. (For no reason other than to get more $$)

It's a sad situation all around bc it's just too expensive.

You have professors who graduated from the AUC in the 90's who are still paying off their loans.
:francis::mjcry:
Women still enroll at spelman (at least from what I've seen) bc they want to attach themselves to that name. And they actually have nice facilities bc of donations.

:dahell:yikes

Did she ever speak on how that would be allocated? 25 bill split to all 100+ hbcus? certain hbcus?

It was a three part plan.

1) Part one was to give HBCU's a extra 2.5 billion dollars a year for 10 years. Better ones would've gotten more.

2) Part two was to limit people who attend HBCU's debt burdens to a max of 10 percent of their incomes.

3) Part 3 was to make high GPA students who make under 125000 attend HBCU's for free.

Ya probably.

That is an atrocious percentage.

I also didn't realize fundraising was so tepid at Morehouse. Looks like alums really are not fukking with the administration
I won't speak for Morehouse but most of these schools cats barely give back but are at homecoming every yr. Some of it is people are underemployed when they graduate so they dont value their degree and others simply aint worth a damn.

Actually its not so bad to attend Morehouse. Its 40,017 a year( room and board included). In the grand scheme of things that's not bad.

I wanna saw Tech and G State are somewhere in the mid 20s and the instate HBCUs are probably in the low 20s or right at 20. It's tough trying to scrap up 40k in scholarship and grants each year.
