Like someone else here posted SLU has a semi shyt medical program compared to the rest so they probably needed to fill a seat to keep accreditation/quota and he met their requirements. Had dude been White, Samoan, or Vin Diesel, he would have gotten in sheer luck with those piss poor scores. Dumb ass should have did another graduate program to boost for GPA and reapplied to med school or during undergrad, transferred out to another university junior/senior year and earned a higher GPA as your credit hours and not grades tranx...at least in my day.
It doesn't take a lot of reading to understand the hardships different groups have to go through to reach a certain level. Universities understand that "intelligence" is evenly distributed among people.
So if say black woman has the same gpa as a white man, chances are that she's a lot brighter. She might not be, but on average she will be. Due to her on average didn't have parents or siblings showing her the way, she didn't on average have good teachers, disturbing classmates and on.
A lot of times It's not about what you have done but what they think that you can do. Then of course there's quotas, it doesn't look good for the school
If all minorities aren't represented at the school. Usually they'll all do well since as mentioned on average our brain is the same.

While I agree with the underrepresentation of blacks in medecine, do you think it's fair to deny an indian access to education just because his peers are succesful? If there was a file dominated by black people, would you be cool with blacks being discriminated in favor of people from other ethnicities?

Given the state of affairs in the African American community, ABSOLUTELY. Any country you go to, the local citizens are given preference over outsiders. The problem is blacks feel they don't deserve shyt despite their immense contributions to the development of this nation.
An African American should most definitely get preference over outsiders, even whites at this point. The economic disparities in the african american communities are too great.
In order for this sham of an experiment to happen, he had to make up a lot of shyt.
