We know what he is now, which is a elder statesman wr who can make tough catches in clutch situations (glad to see he's gotten over that bout of drop-itis) . He ain't outrunning anyone or consistently making big plays. He's good for 1 or 2 clutch chain movers a game now. Even on that 50 yarder he came up gassed.
that isnt much different than what he was in 2013 or 2014. or 2012.

Boldin has always made his trade through his hands, not his feet, but he's definitely lost some explosiveness over the past few years. I don't believe anyone would still consider him to be a number 1 wr. He's 35 for christ's sake, second oldest WR in the league. And even Steve Smith is still playing like a number 1 guy.

boldin was never really explosive breh, especially in past 5 years or so. he just makes catches when thrown at with his hands/awareness :manny: his dropsies were concerning but looks like we're over that.

:manny: Boldin had a good game, but he's still not the dynamic playmaker he once was. This is most likely his last year. We still need to find a dynamic number 1 wr

Boldin was never break away speed WR. NEVER. Always possession WR like Keyshawn.

Still aint washed up. How many 35 y/o WR you see doing that? You gonna learn about dem Flawrida Boi's. Aaron Lynch from FL too.

Do you not see a difference in Boldin's play now compared to say 2013?

I don't think he's even left his feet this year, all his big catches have dropped into his hands. He used to be hella aggressive at the catch point.

let kaep throw it to him where he can catch the ball first breh :manny:

kaep rarely throws into coverage, so the only time quan gets the ball nowadays if hes open. sometimes you gotta say fukk it and let him go get one vs single coverage, because hes really good at it.
in 2013 kaep was forcing it a bit more to him.

theres no better game to try that than the seattle game too. separation will be scarce.
