some of you nikkas don't know what you're talking about.Somalis are not mixed with arabs since there is no indication that our migration went through there. Somalis originated far North (I think a bit north of Somaliland). We even have Somalis believing the former because oddly enough a lot of Somalis don't know their history before Black hawk down.
Not sure how all Somalis are mixed with Italian since we fought them in the early 20th century and we've been in the continent hundreds of years before. Not only that Italy only colonized Southern Somalia...
Lastly, Somalis generally respond to the "what are you" question by saying "I'm Somali" or saying what tribe they're from especially back home. If you lived in Somalia your whole life and everyone is Black then why would you respond by saying the obvious "im black"? Black people aren't a monolith we don't act and feel the same way. And we certainly all don't use the same racial concept.
