:what: I'm still taking KD but how you gon disrespect Iverson's D like that?

shyt, inch for inch he was a better defender than Durant who has the length and athleticism to be All World on that end but he's not.
outside of pass interceptions iverson was a garbage defender, and inch for inch has nothing to do with it.
he was 6 feet tall and and nothing can change that. this isn't boxing. he still is expected to cover people at least half a foot taller on day to day basis and he couldn't do that. aint no weight classes in this league.
not his fault? sure. nothing he could do about it? true.
but thats what it is, a 6 foot nikka is never gonna affect the game on D.
and Defense is 50% of basketball.

if i have my choice between a 6 footer who put up 30 and a 7 footer who put up 30, im choosing the 7 footer. you can't teach tall and iverson's defense suffered because of it.
Thats why they had to pair iverson with big off guards because he couldn't cover other shooting guards.

Pretty sure I picked Durant too. :aicmon:

Iverson was as good a defender as he coulda been at 6 ft. He was definitely not a bad defender.

Meanwhile, Durant could be a GREAT defender because of his size but he's not. Out of the 2, only 1 underachieves on defense and that's your 7 footer. :beli:

This nikka said AI was a great team defender. :dead:
Kobe was a top 3 perimeter defender in the NBA in his younger days. Something Iverson NEVER was. Iverson was great at creating steals, because he gambled a lot. He was never a good defender. Anything else is revisionist history.

Would you rather have Clyde Drexler in his last year in the NBA, or prime Adam Morrison.

KD couldn't take that Sixers team to the finals.....just sayin :yeshrug:
:mjlol:

Iverson was shooting 30 times a game to get to 33ppg that year.

Durant did the same with only 21 shots last year.

The East was weak as fukk, they needed the refs to fukk over the Bucks in the ECF and Iverson shot under 39% in the playoffs and was outplayed by Reggie, Vince and Ray Allen on the way to the finals

i recall A.I. taking over Playoff and Final games with 50+ point explosions..

Durant is a good regular season player, thats all

AI averaged 30/6/4 on 40% in the playoffs

Durant is at 29/4/8 on 46% in the playoffs
