Kobe had more clutch performances and always wanted the ball in crunch time... Lebron passed the ball

Kobe easily

oh you can choose Lebron.. just make sure your starting line up has an all star to boost his confidence

Another thing to consider is how much LeBron's game depends on his teammates. He is definitely a better passer than Kobe and makes smarter basketball decisions (Kobe has terrible shot selection), but there is another side to that. The fact that Kobe's game is largely independent of his teammates means you can depend on him to SINGLEHANDEDLY win you a game. Whereas with LeBron if his teammates aren't playing well you have to worry about his consistency. Like I said, there's pros and cons to both players. But all the posters in here acting like it's an easy decision (whether you pick LeBron OR Kobe) are dead wrong. :manny:

So Bron has never taken over games...playoff games? :comeon: Dude has had numerous dominant performances in the regular season and the playoffs. Are dudes watching a loop of the 2011 Finals or something? :mindblown: I swear nikkas act like this dude avg. 17 pts a game or some shyt. :heh:

LeBron isn't anywhere near as consistently dominant as Kobe in critical points of the game, he has disappeared numerous times in big moments. He did it this finals as well as last, nikkaz wanna act like dude wasn't a lucky ass Ray Allen 3 away from being 1-4 in the finals. There are points in the game where the star SHOULD take over, 9 times out of 10 Kobe will do so (or attempt to) even if it means shooting his team out of the game. With LeBron it's a toss up, nobody is denying he has the ABILITY to take over a game, but as others have said he's not a killer :manny:

How did the Heat get to within 3 in that game in the first place? An insane all around run including a 3 that cut the lead to 3 by Bron. Most of the time when his teams need him to step up he does. Dude is like 32, 10, 6 in elimination games. Kobe is like 22, 6, 4. When does your team need you to step up more than when the season is on the line? Dudes get so caught up in this myth of Kobe that they blatantly ignore his less than stellar performances in instances where his team needed him the most. Where was this "individual take over the game SINGLEHANDEDLY" stuff against PHX in game 7 or Boston in game 6? We gonna act like Kobe didn't need his teammates to step up and hit clutch shots in the course of winning all 5 of his rings?

I think the difference in passing ability between Kobe and Lebron is nowhere near as big as people make it to be. It's been years since Kobe has had consistent shooting around him to finish off his passes. Basically once they got rid of Shaq the only somewhat consistent shooter Kobe had around him was Fisher. And Fisher needed to be wide open with his slow release to hit. When teams would help off of Kobe they weren't too afraid of a Luke Walton, Odom, Smush Parker, Chucky Atkins killing them from deep. Outside of his early Cleveland days Lebron has always been surrounded by decent scoring and shooting. Even Wade who was a suspect shooter was good at cutting and creating scoring opportunities.

So if teams helped off Lebron they were taking a hell of a chance so I don't think he does see near the swarming defenses that Kobe faced post Shaq.

C/s there passing skills ain't that much different at all I haven't seen lebron do a pass that kobe can't do

Also, Kobe is underrated because he has one of the WOAT shot selections, it just doesn't stick out because he is so good. Frankly, one of the biggest differences I see between his game and Jordan's is decision making. Jordan just made the right play (shot selection, whether or not to go for the shot) a lot more of the time. No one is denying Kobe is a smart guy but some times he looks like a more talented/skilled JR Smith :ld:

Do you realize lebron dropped like 19 that quarter and outscored the Spurs?

Not to mention hitting the 3 that put them down by only 3....

Y'all dudes have so many narratives attached to Bron that y'all can't appreciate him.

Sucks cause after he's gone we don't know when we will see a talent on that level..might take years.:yeshrug:

This idea of Lebron being a better defender than Kobe is actually hilarious... Kobe was the best man defender in the NBA for years where as the dude Lebron was defending, KAWHI LEONARD, A 22 YEAR OLD, GOT FINALS MVP ON LEBRONS HEAD LITERALLY A FEW WEEKS AGO :snoop:

nikka

KAHWI LEONARD WANTS A WORD WITH THE LEBRON IS A BETTER DEFENDER CAMP.

The Truth
Man...

Prime Kobe... That's it. Hadn't seen a more insane, psychotic, entertaining and talented player since then (try me too :childplease:)

Kobe went toe-to-toe with the best offensive AND defensive players at his position. Guarded a Prime AI in the finals, guarded T-Mac, Vince Carters, Ginoblis, Ray Allen's, Etc.., ALL in their primes.

Dropped 81 points while on a shytty LA team, when they were getting blown out, AND won the game:childplease:

Can play with his back to basket, facing up, sideways, in the dark, left handed... Any way you wanted to take your L:childplease:

Oh yea... 5 championships too:youngsabo:
