no there not the same as far as athletic ability so we can get all theout of the way
but both were the best ALL around players of there generation
both have extremely high bball iqs and will to win
Bird was nowhere near the athlete as Bird but Bron was not matching Bird as a shooter
so on offensively they were similar but defense is what takes Lebron to the next level
LeBron destroys Bird in most advanced statistics like PER and WS.
actually Durant is similar to Bird least last two years since he has become a more complete player

The way he punished George in the paint wasn't a mid-post game wing players develop, that was a straight up big man's post game with jump hooks and "You too little" strength added.
If he turns uses that more later in his career there's really no comparison out there for him, he'll have gone from a drive and kick player to a low block player.

He's above average at everything...that mixed in with his crazy athleticism and freak like physical make up nh, makes him a dominant player.He's a phenomenal basketball specimen all the way around.

Bron is more athletic and bullish out there on the court.Has above average court vision, but can't match the phenomenal court vision that Magic had.
I think Bron is more comparable to Bird.Does everything above average, but not one thing phenomenal(Bird was a phenomenal shooter, though..could Bird be better?
Bron being able to do everything above average and being as big, strong, and athletic as he is makes him a phenomenal specimen/player.

Without question.I guess that's a good skill to have, but it's nothing major.
Blake Griffin might be a better finisher, but finishing is to "after the fact"
